Colarado 300 and Travel Guides or speed cameras

I discovered today you can have the Europe Travel Guide Marco Polo (Garmin) on the Colarado 300

I have this for my car satnav so I was experimenting

 

Copy marco polo (Travel Guide is called MPFullEurope.gpi ) into the POI folder on the SD card

 

and when you use go to and Custom POIs press menu choose data base and there it is

 

Works better on here than my Sat Nav for which I bought it (shows phone and a little about the place Like a cache note)

 

I guess the USA or others will work the same

 

I have also now loaded my spped camera database using POIedit to convert and POI loader to load

again on to the SD card

 

I am now using a 4 gb Sandisk Micro SD and its the HS type to works no probs I also have another now in the GPSmap76CSx so I guess it will work in the GPSmap 60CSx too

The Europe Travel Guide Marco Polo is several years old and most of the POI are included in CN Europe v2008.

What do they look like on the unit[screenshot]?

How do you cope without Proximity alerts and the lack of text with the POI???
