jbotros
Hey guys...I'm brand new to geo-caching. We're in Hobbs, NM this weekend and decided to find a couple of caches. Were having trouble with this one: click here . They keep referring to a "dead drop"... what is this? Are we looking for a regular cache like the few orthers we have found? Thanks for the help! +SWAK9802
Taken from the Geocache page you listed: A dead drop is something that looks perfectly natural but is actually something else. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
Dead drops are used by spies to hold and conceal information for another spy to pick up. They were/are often small waterproof cylinders that would make excellent micro geocaches. Quote Link to comment
+Team Cotati
Taken from the Geocache page you listed: A dead drop is something that looks perfectly natural but is actually something else. No wonder he didn't have a clue. Quote Link to comment
