waskalywabbit
I was wondering - after seeing an assortment of geocoins, What exactly makes a coin into a geocoin - trackable coins I understand - they have tracking numbers - easy - but its the untrackable coins I am wondering about - is it just the community they are found in or do they have special design or wording Quote Link to comment
CinemaBoxers
I think they are basically just metal siggy items. A coin is a coin, but a geocoin is a coin that has a meaning to Geocachers - whether its a signature item, or, is just a caching related non-trackable coin. Quote Link to comment

Trackable or not, if it's geocaching related and personalizes the geocacher who has it made, I like it. Quote Link to comment
CinemaBoxers
I'll go one step further... If its pretty, I like it! LOL Now Ive found myself trading for other non-cacher coins! Woot! LOL Quote Link to comment
+fairyhoney
Yeah, I think that if it pertains to geocaching or to a cacher, it's a geocoin. I think it is better if it is at least , pretty AND numbered. Of course, trackable is best Quote Link to comment
