Palm Z22 ?

The Palm Z22 is much harder to read in bright sunlight while the less-expensive Palm m500 is easy to read. I have a Palm m500, and now an m515 as well. Both are easy to read outside.

You should be able to get a Palm m500 for $30.00 on eBay. Add an SD card if you want to store the data for many thousands of caches, and a hard case, and you might be up to $50.00.

Considering a Palm Z22 for paperless. Palms web site says the Z22 does not have a PDF reader. Is this an issue. Was looking at M500's on eBay but good ones are going for $50.00 or more ! Palm Z22 new $99.00 !

Thank for any help :P

Z22s are color and very compact but they are very hard to read outside. If you are driving around doing urbans this is less of an issue.

I also have a Z22 w/Cachemate. I have GSAK on my computer and download from GSAK to Cachemate. Works great.

The Z22 has lots of memory for this. Cachemate does not take up that much memory.

Tha down side is the Z22 is hard to read in direct sunlight. I normally park the car and look up the cache page on cachemate. Then go to the cache.

I hope this helps.

I also have the Z22, cachemate combo and have been wondering if there is anyway that you can list the caches by waypoint. I know you can sort them that way but it lists them by their names. I would like to see the waypoint displayed instead. I fear I may be out of luck tho ...

options->list options ->extra info:waypoints
