bubnme
Can this software be loaded on multiple units and is it locked to one registered owner? The version I am asking about is the one before version 2008. Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

+coggins
What does the licensing agreement that you agree to say when you install it? Quote Link to comment
bubnme
I was looking at loading the Garmin version of topo before the 2008 version. The dvd was one that a friend was not using anymore for his gps. I'm not sure if this is okay or not so that's why I was asking. Quote Link to comment

He may have purchased the CD or DVD, and when he installed it he became the licensee. But the license is non-transferable to you, even if he gives or sells the CD/DVD set to you. Contact Garman and they will explain it to you. 1-800-800-1020 (U.S.) Quote Link to comment

+fratermus
But the license is non-transferable to you, even if he gives or sells the CD/DVD set to you. And a flamewar erupted... This should be good. All this will be be moot once open mapping projects hit their stride. The professional cartographers will have to evolve to meet customer needs or go the way of the buggywhip crowd. Quote Link to comment

No jail time here... Quote Link to comment
