+FatherAndProgeny
Ok, how does a travel bug the in fighting diabetes? It sure is not earning any money. It is not significantly increasing awareness. So what is it doing other than being another tb and making caches happy to see when it goes? Quote Link to comment
+BlueDeuce
I say they stir interest, get people thinking and talking about it. Maybe even start a forum discussion. Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
I have read many logs so far, from geocachers all over the world, that know someone, love someone, heard of someone, lost someone, take care of someone, married someone, gave birth to someone, met someone, read of someone, helped someone, treated someone, danced with someone, cached with someone, saw a movie about someone, were governed by someone, worked with someone or taught someone with the disease, or they themselves had the disease, and I would say it is helping to spread the word, a lot. Remember, 20,000 of these Travel Bugs were shipped out. Collectively, that's a lot of talk circling around about Diabetes. More than one person will be remembering that little blue circle when asked if they would contribute a little something to the Diabetes Foundation, and find it a worthy cause. Quote Link to comment
