+Klemmer
Ever check out those "benchmark" or "benchmarking" banner ads at the top of this "Benchmark Hunting" forum? I guess the Google add robot thinks we would be interested because of the same name, huh? Fooled it. Here are a couple that got my attention. They change often, and are hard to "catch": http://www.probenchmark.com/?_kk=it%20benc...CFQU6awodtEYjXQ http://www.industryweek.com/Benchmarking/B...CID=KNC-IWBPDB1 Maybe Berntsen should get one. At least that would be relevant.... Just got another one: http://nqrinc.com/ And another. http://www.redstonesoftware.com/home/Bench...CFRIUagodaij0WQ Sheeeesh! I give up. You win, Google ad robot. (BTW: I don't work for Berntsen or any of the other companies above). Edited December 29, 2007 by Klemmer & TeddyBearMama Quote Link to comment
Wintertime
Thanks to Adblock Plus (an extension to Firefox), I wasn't even aware that there were ads on the forum pages. But I have encountered a similar problem when using Google to look for various topics related to survey marks. Even putting a space in "bench mark" doesn't prevent getting a bunch of results that pertain to software and product quality control rather than surveying. Patty Quote Link to comment
+t8r
Google just does not get why i don't want them filtering anything, including advertising. This is why. Google, please give me the tools to do my own filtering. Quote Link to comment
+Klemmer
But Patty, look at all the neat ads you are missing! (P.S. As I use Firefox also, maybe I better look into Adblock Plus also). (P.P.S. Now that we have mentioned it, will we get banner ads from Adblock Plus? Hmmm...) Quote Link to comment

CustomizeGoogle is a Firefox extension that enhances Google search results by adding extra information (like links to Yahoo, Ask.com, MSN etc) and removing unwanted information (like ads and spam). http://www.customizegoogle.com/ Quote Link to comment
