Benchmark "Ads" at the top of the forum

Ever check out those "benchmark" or "benchmarking" banner ads at the top of this "Benchmark Hunting" forum?

I guess the Google add robot thinks we would be interested because of the same name, huh? Fooled it. Here are a couple that got my attention. They change often, and are hard to "catch":

http://www.probenchmark.com/?_kk=it%20benc...CFQU6awodtEYjXQ

http://www.industryweek.com/Benchmarking/B...CID=KNC-IWBPDB1

Maybe Berntsen should get one. At least that would be relevant....

Just got another one:

http://nqrinc.com/

And another.

Sheeeesh! I give up. You win, Google ad robot.

(BTW: I don't work for Berntsen or any of the other companies above).

Thanks to Adblock Plus (an extension to Firefox), I wasn't even aware that there were ads on the forum pages. But I have encountered a similar problem when using Google to look for various topics related to survey marks. Even putting a space in "bench mark" doesn't prevent getting a bunch of results that pertain to software and product quality control rather than surveying.

There is a Firefox special add on you can get just for Google issues. Check out "CustomizeGoogle".

CustomizeGoogle is a Firefox extension that enhances Google search results by adding extra information (like links to Yahoo, Ask.com, MSN etc) and removing unwanted information (like ads and spam).
