+mrlayance
I need some help transferring my gpx files to my gps. I bought a Asus EEE pc (Linux based) for travel and geocaching. I am new to gpsbabel. I have gpsbabel installed and working (I believe). I am using the following command to upload the gpx file to my gps. gpsbabel -w -i gpx -f 1131117.gpx -o garmin -F /dev/ttyUSB0 The command does not show any type of error or response. The gpx file has 400 caches within it, but only 20 transfer to my gps? Does anyone have any type of experience with this type of problem? Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
Are you sure only 20 transfer to the GPSr? Have you changed the Search from "Nearest" to "By Name" to see if some are further away and are not showing up in the "Nearest" search? Quote Link to comment

robertlipe
My money is on Miragee's answer. GPX to Garmin is a very common operation for GPSBabel. You can add "-vs" to the beginning of your command line to see how many points were written. Does the display on the GPS show anything during/after the transfer such as "waypoint memory full" or "transfer complete"? Quote Link to comment
+Chuy!
Download everything from the GPS into your software. All waypoints will show up. Quote Link to comment
