Visiting Cherokee, NC

Will be visiting the Cherokee, NC area for some caching and vacationing, or vice versa. Any spectacular children friendly caches I can visit? Any bookmark lists out there for that area which are made for taking children out caching? Would appreciate any comments, PM's, etc.

Butterflies/GCT9FN has a cool stained glass window nearby. 1886 Turbine/GCGYMA is a cool virtual that highlights pioneer power. Vertical Supports/GCMBAZ is a few miles west (in Bryson City) but is a great hike with awesome views. And the kids (and parents) will enjoy the time they spend in the park that contains Stroll Through The Park/GCY5PM and Free Money/GCT9FW.

 

There are many more in the area but most are parkish-and-grabish.

Not sure of caches in the Cherokee area but just over the mountain in Maggie Vally is a great place for the kiddies depending on their ages called Santa's Land / mcellen N.GA.
