So sorry, you must not live in a "military town" like we do. Ammo cans are aplenty here in SD, about $5-8 all you can carry. I just wish they were not so expensive to ship, or I'd hook you all up. MAybe you could pass the guys id out to friends at local get togethers or drop his info into caches you go to and get some kind of break from him when you want to pick up some for others that go his way via you! just an idea. Then you could sell them for less and the added shipping would not hurt so bad. JMHO/ McEllen

I found just the tag once was suppose to have a hand puppet kangaroo and baby roo in its pouch attached. I assume some kid wanted the puppet so it was taken off I did not have a Kangaroo but I did have a Froggie so it became a Shape shifter and went back out and I added a note when I logged it about what i did to it. I also found a geo coin in a cache that had not beem logged into the cache it was in and had not been even logged for over a year the owner was thrilled it was found but then less then 3 drops later it turned up missing again well maybe it will show up again some time, the owner emailed me and said go looking for it again LOL I said I would keep my eyes open they said cause I seemed to be a lucky finder. People do all kind of weird things out there in the world, do not let it get to you. / mcellen

My daughter and I cache together sometimes but it is rarely because she works a regular full time job, I however go caching as often as I feel up to it. Since I am disabled I have to pick my caches carefully usually a 1 or 2 level. Just not able to go out and climb a mountain. I wish I could tho. We each have an account so we log the finds separetly. I would love to find a caching buddy in my area, but have no idea how not to hook up with a axe murderer LOL. And someone in my same ability level. I would think you could link the finds together by mentioning your caching buddy when you log your find./mcellen

The link works for me but many times the coins are missing from the caches. Try taking a look at the coins history to see if someone posted it is gone or it is seen. Many people take the coins and keep them without a word, leaving those who find them and move them out of luck. I do not know what to suggest we do with these type people. I have seen quite a few people with books full of coins at meetings I want to ask them how they got that coin was it a gift from the original owner or was it suppose to keep moving. I have seen one that was a photo of the coins it keeps moving because the keepers can not get their hands on the original. How do we get a coin to continue it's journies ??? / mcellen

This is the fist year I have ever seen a baby tick. It was on me not attached but looking for a spot. I could not believe how small it was. I have always seen larger ones. I always check myself after caching. I rarely take my dogs caching because I tend to hit the drive up caches because of physical restrictions. Can't do any over 2/2 in this area but I have a feeling a 2/2 in Georgia is not the same as a 2/2 in Colorado or Arizona. just be aware of those little SUCKERS. I have to admit here in GA spring and summer are more tick season then fall and winter. I will remember the good advice about not sitting on down logs. Not sure of caches in the Cherokee area but just over the mountain in Maggie Vally is a great place for the kiddies depending on their ages called Santa's Land / mcellen N.GA.

Well let me look in my goodie bag . Batteries, manicure kit, small mirror, kids toys likr Chuckie Cheese coin holder, mega blocks conductor, glitter roll on lip gloss, light up pen, rubber aliens, pink tennis ball and greenie chews for canine caches, golden bracelet for girls cachs hot wheels cars for boys caches, mini screwdriver set for mens cache, mini lock and key. some coupons for free food like at Micky Dees or BK. I carry this with me to all caches just so I have something to leave that is suitable. /mcellen
