I'm not from your area but there's a Geocaching Event this weekend out in Palm Springs that should have some geocachers from your area. I'm planning on caching/hiking/4x4 on Sunday & Monday up there. I am leaving on friday to stay the night in blythe and then heading out to the bradshaw trail early saturday. I am going with a group a people that I just recently met.
