+FireRef Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I'd like to know if there is a place, cache, etc, you can drop bugs into that would hold them for you only so they weren't on my list. I have several geocoins I have no intention of releasing, but I did activate them. I take it the easiest way to not have them on the list would be to not activate them, but I already did. What is the second best option? (if any) Quote
+wyohunter Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Create a cache but do not publish it. That way only you can see it and you can drop your coins into it. They are off your inventory but still activated. Quote

+BlueDeuce Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 You can simply move the bugs out to an unknown location. Access the bug page and under Trackable Item Options there is a pulldown menu that reads Recalculate Distance. Under there is the option to mark as Missing. The bugs can still be Discovered and they won't have any false mileage added by being placed into a cache. Quote

I just tried it with one of my coins Quote
+BlueDeuce Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Currently the only way to remove them from your Ownership Inventory would be to adopt them out to another user. Placing them in an unpublished cache won't remove them either. Placing them out to an Unknown Location will take them out of your Drop Inventory that you see every time you post a log on a cache. +FireRef Posted July 30, 2007 Author Posted July 30, 2007 I'm not trying to remove them from my ownership inventory - just the list on my "My Account" page on the right... I guess you could call it my "Possession inventory". Quote

+Rev Mike Posted August 4, 2007 Posted August 4, 2007 One other option for you is you could do the same thing I do: I drop mine in NOVA Micro # 12 (GCTNKR) which is less than 100 feet from my house. It is one of my older caches and is now archived. It removes my tbs and coins from my inventory and also provides an acurate mileage. This would serve the same function for you since it is most likely the closest archived listing to your residence. I guess I could let you use that for all of your trackables. - Rev Mike Quote
