I have a cache that went missing a while back. At the time, I didn't have the time to replace it. However, I now would like to reactivate it. How does one go about changing an archived cache to temporarily unavailable?

If you want to put it back in the exact same spot, ask the reviewer that originally listed the cache if you can have the listing back. You may want to move it to a better hiding spot if the original was muggled or moved due to "forces of nature". If someone has placed a cache less than 528 feet away you are out of luck.

The key is communication with the reviewer.

You can find your reviewer's name at the very bottom of your cache listing.

I agree check with the reviewer that the listing would beable to be relisted.

If it can, why make it temporarily unavailable when you could just get the cache ready and have it relisted.

Thanks for the responses, I will check with the original reviewer. I want to make it temporarily unavailable so that no one places a cache in the area while I purchase the required items needed to put it back together.

Actually, you need to replace it before it is unarchived. It should be ready to go when you ask.
