Reflecting on memories

I recently went to one of my first caches to do a big nettle clean up and check on the ammo box. Firstly I found the original log book which had my old gc name "Norfolk Dave & the Shadow Chasers" cor that was a mouthful to say at any meets and it used a lot of ink too. Anyway I have just been looking at some of the entries in the log book and found some old names including an entry from "The Cat" I believe that was Mark, a good friendly cacher he was. There are so many to read and it's just nice to reflect on a bit of Geocaching history.

Maybe there should be a 'National Archive' for all old cache log books. I still have all mine and as you say, there are a lot of names in the earlier ones that sadly seem to be missing from the game now.

I sometimes take some time to look at early entries in log books as I go round, and having taken a sabbatical from caching for a year or so it does remind me of those who seem to have gone off never to return. I think they might have gone and got a life.
