the pooks Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 (edited) Where does one find maps to use with EasyGPS. Without any map the information is just a whole lot of black marks on the screen which is not very useful. I use Mapsend Lite as I can use the Mapsend maps that came with my Explorist 500 unit. Mapsend Lite has geochaing capability and it communicates correctly with the Explorist 500 Just wondering as many people seem to use EasyGPS. Edited July 4, 2007 by the pooks Quote
Knight2000 Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I didn't know you could. (although it makes sense.) I just load the file into google earth if i need to see. Otherwise easyGPS just loads the coords for me. Quote
SUp3rFM & Cruella Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I use EasyGPS to upload the waypoints to the Sportrak. I don't think it possible to load maps onto EasyGPS. Quote
briansnat Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 (edited) ExpertGPS, the advanced, pay version of EasyGPS has maps. EasyGPS doesn't. Edited July 4, 2007 by briansnat Quote
imajeep Posted July 5, 2007 Posted July 5, 2007 As the previous poster said, you need to upgrade to ExpertGPS (the paid version) to get maps. There are scans of USGS maps and aerial photographs. I like ExpertGPS a lot, but I use it mainly for its ability to edit routes and tracks. I use Google Earth for Aerials, and Garmin MapSource for Topos. Quote
