Ideas for #1000 in Colorado

Any ideas for #1000 in the Colorado Springs area?

 

The cache needs to be less than a 3 terrain, not a steep climb and less than 5 miles roundtrip as I'm still recovering from a broken leg (from a geocaching accident).

 

#1000 could be a great view, clever hide or a fun hide.

How about a nice short multi with a great view?

For a nice virtual with an amazing view, you could ride the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak for this one:

Although it's not a hike this may be the one since I'll be at this spot on the appropriate day for #1000.

I'll be in Denver, RMNP, Colorado Springs but traveling with non geocaching friends so I have to limit my choices somewhat.

If you're heading to Estes via Rt. 36 then there is "Lair at Lions Gulch" 8 miles South of Town. And in Estes I would recommend Mary's Lake. When you get into ROMO there is several nice virtuals, I've heard "Huffer Hill" makes then wheeze and blow on the way up. If you go to Estes via Rt. 34, well Loveland is full of them

and the easiest is Corey's Stash.
