logging a find

I found my first cache! and came home, wrote a chatty log, pushed the send log button-- and it doesn't show up either at the geocache page or on my account. Is this typical? Or did I do something wrong? Should I log it again?

Well, I'm not sure how you did it....but here is how you do it anyway.

 

On the cache page, go to the "Found it Log it" button at the top right of the screen. Select the log type, the date that you found it, and then write a log describing your experience. You then scroll down and click "submit log entry" and a new page should come up showing the log that you just wrote up.

 

You can then go back to the cache page and see your log, and go to your account details and see your log there too.

 

edit - "account" instead of "accound"

Welcome to the Forums, and to the addiction . . . er . . . activity.

 

Hmmm . . . when I submit a log it shows up right away on the cache page, and when I refresh My Account page the cache is listed there.

 

I don't know what to say, except if it really didn't show up on the cache page, give it another try.

You must have done something wrong because there is no found it log in your profile. Did you select "found it" from the dropdown box?
