+The Vikings
We are going to visit another country (Sweden) in a couple of weeks' time. We would like to be able to search for some geocaches while we are there. However, I have not found a good way to search on the website for caches close to where we will be at any time. All caches seem to be sorted by distance from where we live (in Australia) which is not very helpful. Is there a way to search for nearby caches at a place where you just are visiting, or plan to visit? Edited May 9, 2007 by The Vikings Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Go here ... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/ Type in whatever info you what to search by and Viola!! There you are. For Sweden ... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx?country_id=10 Or if you know the Lat and Long for where you'll be, you can enter that. Quote Link to comment
+cache_test_dummies
Locate a single cache near where you will be staying, and then click on the "all nearby caches" link on that cache page. For example, if you will be staying in Stockholm, here are the nearby caches. Quote Link to comment
+Jollylolly
Adding to Motorcycle Mama's post, go to http://www.geocaching.com/seek/gmnearest.aspx Type "(town you'll be at), Sweden" in the search box, and play with the zoom and pan function to locate some caches. Quote Link to comment
+Super_Nate
If you are a premium member, then you can get the general idea of where you will be staying and then run a PQ for 500 caches or so around that area. You can then download them into your GPS and then all caches will be at your fingertips for your trip. Good luck finding them! Quote Link to comment
