bashnme
Have read many entries about pda, but for a senior with poor eyesight, is there a pda with a screen the size of my Magellan XL or even larger? I was able to try a Palm Z22 and even with my hand held mag glass it didn't help that much besides being cumbersome. Quote Link to comment
Miragee
My Palm M500 has a larger screen and is very easy to read, even in bright sunlight. A friend has a Zire 72, which costs a bit more money, but it is also easy-to-read. Quote Link to comment
bashnme
Thanks. My XL is 3"x2", is your 500 that size? Quote Link to comment
Miragee
The screen is about 2 1/4 by 2 1/4". I also have a Palm Lifedrive, which has a larger screen, but that is a bit fragile for taking out in the field . . . Quote Link to comment
B.J.S.
I use a Tungsten E2, and I'm too stuborn to get glasses. I have no problem seeing (and reading) the screen even direct sunlight. If you are talking when using Cachemate, you can change the font size. Quote Link to comment

ke6n
It sucks when the up-close vision starts going away. I should probably get some actual prescription glasses one of these days, but I trade low power readers (1.25 for my "looking for the frickin' micro in the bushes") for 3.25 "trying to read the Palm and signing the log" glasses. Often times I just pop the 3.25s over the 1.25s for signing and say the heck with it. Yeah, I no doubt look like a dork, but I can read. Gone are the days when I could read a pocket book in little or no light -- when my mother would come by and ask me how I could see with no light on. Now I ask my kids the same thing... <sigh> Quote Link to comment
