+gh patriot
Whats the maximum search distance on a pq??? Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
100 miles, but the number of caches is limited to 500, so in some areas, that many caches can be found in a much, much smaller circle . . . Quote Link to comment
Motorcycle_Mama
Are you sure about that limit? I have one set at 200 miles and another at 300 miles. Although I agree that generally you hit the 500 cache limit before the distance limit. Quote Link to comment
+gh patriot
Thanks for the answer. I currently have 442 unfound within a 50 mile radius with lake michigan on my west and almost 700 finds. LOTS of caches in my area. And a TON of hard puzzles. If you like puzzles then Grand Rapids MI is your place. Quote Link to comment

I thought that was the limit and that is the largest diameter I ever requested . . . Edit to add appropriate quote . . . Edited April 10, 2007 by Miragee Quote Link to comment

+gh patriot
So which is it? Quote Link to comment
+TrailGators
So which is it? Do a test PQ for all 5/5 caches or something like that. I'm sure you'll hit 500 miles before you hit 500 caches.... Edited April 10, 2007 by TrailGators Quote Link to comment
+Mach2003
In Canadian terms it is absolutly 750 km. (500 miles) Quote Link to comment
+clatmandu
I get 13pq's to cover all the caches in MI, furthest one is Isle Royal, 740mi Quote Link to comment
+Markwell
You can do them by region (state or states) and not worry about the radius. I set up a PQ in about 3 minutes to show the 5/5 caches in the 50 states+DC. Got 342 caches on the list. Quote Link to comment
+PeterNoG
In Canadian terms it is absolutly 750 km. (500 miles) It's true the max km that you can type in is 750, when you use miles you can type in 500 which is slightly over 800 km. I also did a search similar to Markwell. 5/5 active traditional caches worldwide (by selecting all "states/provinces" include "none") This yielded 264 caches. Caches were in no particular but I noticed this one: Uhuru Peak in Tanzania 13257.2 km Quote Link to comment
