sea_dragon
This may have been discussed elsewhere, if so I haven't been able to find out where the answers are, so here goes: On the cache maps reached from the "Map It" button, caches (new, found, etc.) aren't showing up. I've tried logging out and back in, but no dice. The Google maps are up to date, so is this gc.com feature being phased out? Any info? Link to comment

beejay&esskay
I don't think it's your browser. Jeremy used to manually run the process to update those maps. He seemed to wait until someone complained. It looks like it's been a while since he's done that. For instance, GCYW3Q, placed 10/14/06, appears to be flagged on the maps as "new, within the last 7 days". GCZ5MN, placed 11/1/06, does not appear on the maps (but will be listed if you do the "identify" function). Neos2 - Do you see anything different for these two caches? I don't think these maps are officially phased out, but Jeremy has expressed an intention to do that. (I'm using GSAK and a user-provided macro, myGME, to give a similar view of cache locations.) (Also, see Mudsneaker's appeal in this forum for a map update.) Edited February 5, 2007 by beejay&esskay Link to comment
Yno
Phase out the maps? That doesn't seem like a good idea. They are one of my most frequently used items on the site. I would hate to see them go. I use GSAK. What is this macro of which you speak? Link to comment
beejay&esskay
Not going to phase out all the maps, just the "old" Geocaching.com map that I think they are wanting to replace with the new Google maps. For the GSAK macro, check out http://gsak.net/board/index.php?showtopic=3781 Link to comment

Yno
I like the Google maps, but I would like to filter out caches I have found. Is there a way to do this? What is the bookmark column on the right used for? Link to comment
