Interfacing my Garmin Etrex legend

Okay, this has probably already been addressed before, but I just got a new GPSr and need help.

I bought a Garmin Etrex Legend and it came with a cable to interface it to a computer. I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to upload waypoints and such into it. Where can I go to get the needed software to do this?

Thanks!!!

Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (gsak) is a terrific piece of software to manipulate your gpx files, also loc files. Must be a premium member of Geocaching to get gpx files. The advantage of gpx files is it includes all of the cache page information where a loc file will only have the coordinates. Down load the files into gsak and then to your gps.

GSAK is free for the first 21 days, then it has a NAG screen that shows up. You do not have to pay for the software if you don't mind waiting for the NAG screen to clear. But to me it is worth every penny to purchase the program $20. With a paid program it automatically checks for newer versions every time you open the program while you are online.

There of course is other programs available. GSAK is the one that I use. Stay tuned and others will pipe in with other program suggestions.

Hope this helps.
