  1. I just found a program called: G7ToWin. I'm able to upload waypoints on this one. I will have to try GSAK though.
  2. Okay, this has probably already been addressed before, but I just got a new GPSr and need help. I bought a Garmin Etrex Legend and it came with a cable to interface it to a computer. I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to upload waypoints and such into it. Where can I go to get the needed software to do this? Thanks!!!
  3. It happened to my cache. I made a little "house" for my cache out in the desert from large rocks. I made it look inconspicuous as there are other rocks set up in the same fashion. A friend of mine and I were out night caching last week and I decided to check on my cache. When I got there, I was a little disappointed. The finders couldn't put the cache back in its hiding place correctly. It was exposed! Any muggle could have stumbled upon it. Seeing that almost made me want to remove it and put it somewhere else.
  4. I usually come across junk: keychains with business names on them, little figurines, broken hot wheels cars, and other geojunk. Although, my last find was a pleasant one. It contained something I actually wanted! It was a geocaching.com, emroidered patch. I sewed that thing on my backpack quick! So, what was the best thing or things you guys have found? I still haven't come across a cache that is rumored to be filled with money or GPS receivers Oh well, I'll keep looking!!
  5. It varies really. The reviewers are volunteers and have family and holiday interests like everyone else. They even cache in their spare time . Anyway, I have had waits as short as an hour and as long as 5 days. After about three I might contact my reviewer to see if there is an issue. By the way, since you are so new to the sport they haven't any experience with you and are likely to investigate your listing a little more thoroughly. Its a bit unusual to put out a cache this quickly so they could be a bit concerned about making sure everything is by the rules. As they learn that you play by the rules the trust level will go up. Welcome to our obsession! JD I think I am obsessed too. KD7RGC and I went geocaching for eight hours yesterday--in the cold wind! That was fun and I'm going again today!
  6. I'm still waiting for my cache to be published. I first submitted it on 12/27/06. Maybe I'm just impatient, but it seems like my friend had his posted in only two days.
  7. I'm a bit nervous myself about a cache that I placed yesterday. It is off the well traveled path, but I'm afraid someone, someday might find it. It has a disposable camera that I'm anticipating to develop.

    Credit?

I looked around the Getting Started pages and I couldn't find an answer. Does the owner have to give credit to the person(s) that found the cache? Many times I will see someone say something like this: "Name two things," or "Take a picture to get credit."
