davester Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Anyone able to point me in the direction of a cheap decent unit for caching? I'm after it for a friend who I've recently introduced. I'm guessing a Yellow Etrex is the best option but are there are other budget units? PC connectivity is a must. Quote
+Paul & Ros Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I have used a Garmin Geko 201 for over 2 years and found it very reliable and almost unbreakable. Cost around £60 from the US, UK price is much higher. Will connect to PC if you buy a cable for transferring up to 500 waypoints. The slightly cheaper 101 will not connect to a PC. Good Luck Paul Quote

+Haggis Hunter Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I also would recommend the Geko 201, I have been using it for over 3 years and never had a problem. ebay has a good list and most are below £50 at the moment, you may grab a wee bargain? Quote
