BradleyT
I got a new 210 for X-mas an I was wondering what software to load for Caching mostly. I don't think I will be using this unit for much highway travel. IS the software that came with the unit good or is there something else I should use insted? Thanks for the help. Brad If it is like the 400 I bought, the Geocache Manager (I think from memory?) will get the job done. Quote Link to comment
+Nachtraaf
Hi Brad, if you are a premium member you can use the gpx-files in GSAK. This is the ultimate geocaching database software out there. It can export to multiple file formats. One of those is the Magellan Explorist layout. It's what I use and it does the job very well! Greets, Hans Quote Link to comment
+themagician
I got a 210 this year for xmas. I download the caches using the query function. I then load them into GSAK I then use GSAK to weekout caches I'm not interested in finding ones with lots of no finds etc. Then I use the file export GPX function in GSAK and then load them using the magellan software. Sounds complicated but is really easy I haven't found a way to make GSAK load into the 210 because it uses the USB port. Quote Link to comment
+geognerd
GSAK will view your 210 as a removable drive, like a hard drive. What you want to do is go to the GPS menu in GSAK, then choose Export to Magellan eXplorist. Under file to create, find the drive letter and correct folder for your GPSr. Quote Link to comment
+CanSolo
Either the Goecache Manager software or GSAK. GSAK just needs to be told which removable drive letter that your 210 is on. Have the 210 here, and loved it once the Euro Firmware update. Quote Link to comment
