+Sioneva
If you are setting up a multi, is it allowed to have one stage be a virtual, or do all stages have to lead you to some kind of container? Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
A stage could be a virtual or a real cache. Using "virtuals" is a popular way of providing coordinates to a next stage. The end cache has to be a real cache though. Quote Link to comment
+StarBrand
Multis with virtual stages are quite common. Nothing wrong there. Quote Link to comment

They can be virtuals in the sense that you get information off of a sign, marker, monument, headstone, etc. Dates,, etc can be used to determine coordinates for the next stage. Quote Link to comment
+wimseyguy
You can have as many virtual stages as you like, as long as there is a physical log at one of the stages. Usually this is the final stage, but I know of one or two exceptions to this format. I own one cache that has six virtual stages leading to the final location of the physical container. edited to add linkage. Edited October 30, 2006 by wimseyguy Quote Link to comment
