LollyBob Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 We were coming home from caching yesterday when Bob tried to describe an area to me. I did not know where he meant until he said, you know....where Mr Beans cache is. I instantly knew where he meant then. In our precaching days he would have named a pub in the area to jog my memory...now its geocaches! Does anyone else use cache names to describe the general area? I know a few that do..pup for 1 lol Quote
little-miss-naughty Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 i use caches to describe were i am (or going) though most muggles give me strange looks as apparently they direct using pubs strange...... lmn Quote
The Bolas Heathens Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Myself and Isaac do it all the time but it does draw some quizzical looks from Mrs BH if she is in the car at the same time. Quote
HazelS Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 Guilty I do it all the time, and my non caching sister gets really annoyed... Last week she was going to Bristol for a meeting, and I was trying to tell her where she should stop for breakfast... I ended up lending her my tom tom with a specific cache marked on it, coz is was dead close to an amazing cafe I'd visited whilst caching.... She said it was the closest she'll ever get to caching!!! I know a few that do..pup for 1 lol I think this is a good thing , as there are more Caches than pubs. i am amused when non caching friends try to describe directions useing caches to me, this makes me realise how much i must talk about caching to them. Always on the look out for a convert (6 so far). Quote
wizard1974uk Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 I've only just started remembering caches by their name, so I really haven't got to the stage of describing an area by a cache yet Quote
HazelS Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Even more sad... Do people remember every cache they've done and where it was?? I do- even down to who I was with and roughly when it was too!!! Quote
