AndrewandSarah Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I have been using the google earth kml for some time now but I noticed when I got it going on a friends computer they have actual cache icons like regular and multi, etc. Mine are only push pin markers. How do I get the icons? I can't figure it out. Thanks!
PDOP's Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Your friend probably used Pocket Queries and processed them through another program like GSAK before loading them into GE.
alexrudd Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 It's a problem with Google Earth: the .kml should (and used to) display separate icons, but for some reason is only displaying the standard pushpins.
team5150 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Hmmm, strange...mine is still displaying the different icons....
PeterNoG Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 I have Google Earth v 3 and I get all the different icons. Apparently v 4 gives you the standard push pins only.
Team Falling Numerals Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Yes, we have vers 3 on one of our computers and vers 4 on another - the Vers 3 shows icons, and vers 4 shows pushpins.
Raine Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Its a known "bug" that google broke when they released v4 Eventually I'll get it sorted out. -Raine
