+star2fire
I just bought a GPS explorist 400. I hooked it up to my laptop, no trouble. I downloaded files from geocaching dot com. I sent them to the GPS. Guess what? They aren't there. I have read and reread the manual, I have looked through the folders on my unit, and I can't find them. Needless to say, I am more than a little frustrated and I have no where to turn to for answers..... except here! Quote Link to comment

+Roland_oso
When you say "I sent them to my GPS" What software did you use to send the files? Did you set the GPS up with the software? Are you using serial or USB? If serial it may be a baud rate setting or a com port setting. Quote Link to comment
+embra
It is possible that you are looking for the file in internal memory rather than SD memory. They have the same folder structure. So you may think you are looking at the My POIs folder on the SD card, but unless you have changed the default file in active setup, you are looking at the My POIs folder in internal memory. If that's the case, keep selecting up one level until you can choose between internal and SD memory, and then drill down. Quote Link to comment
