Ftf Travel Bugs/are They The Same As A Ftf Cache?

I have only been caching since May, 2006, so I not real sure about alot of things. I have however found

a travel bug and I am the FTF it. I have seen caches logged as FTF's but do they do the same with TBs?

If so, how do you log it so it shows like a cache FTF?

geocaching.com doesn't have a place to document FTFs, other than you saying so in the logs. I haven't heard of FTF-ing TBs. They show up in a cache and everyone chases after it. First to get to the cache with the TB inside gets to move it. After it gets moved to a new cache, then...first to get to the other cache with the TB inside gets to move it. There isn't much of a motivation to be first to find a travel bug. The race is for the cache. If the cache is new, people race for the cache. If the cache is old and a tb pops up inside it, people still race for the cache, because that's where the tb is.

FTF merely means you were first to find it. There is no special anything along with it. The FTF is a state of mind. People who find a cache first just write something in their log like FTF! or First To Find! or I beat so and so to it! You don't get any points for it, you don't get an icon, you might get a pat on the back, or a congrats from the hider. You get the same smiley face asif you were the last to find it. All you have to do is express in your log that you found it. If you feel like it and it makes you happy, say you found it first. Some people count their FTFs up and save them like trophy heads on their profile pages. Some people don't care, they are just happy they went for a walk outside and spent quality time with their family. You can play this game however it makes you happy (within the guidelines of course  ) You aren't competing against anyone.
