OTB FAM
I am looking at the palm Z22 (is this the same as Zire 22???) to do paperless caching. I found one at bestbuy for $99. Is this a good option? Quote Link to comment
Miragee
You don't have to spend that much money for a Palm that will work for caching. I have a Palm M500 and the monochrome screen is very easy to read in bright sunlight. Some of the color Palms are miserable in bright sunlight. Check eBay for the Palm M500 unless you need the added functionality in the more expensive model. Quote Link to comment
OTB FAM
OK..Thanks. I have an old Palm VIIx somewhere at home if I can find it (have not seen it in about a year). Maybe I will try that. Quote Link to comment
Miragee
That one will work great . . . and then if you drop it, or sit on it, or lose it during the rigors of Geocaching, you won't be out so much money . . . I use Cachemate, although others use free programs like Plucker and Cache Log Book. Quote Link to comment
JC_Geo
I just picked up a Palm VIIx cheap ($16) and it works great for paperless. I really don't see a need for an expensive PDA. Quote Link to comment
OTB FAM
As luck has it, a buddy of mine handed me a Dell Axium (PDA running windows CE) as I was on my way out of work. I assume that this will do me just fine. Quote Link to comment
