+LCAS-271
I've preparing my first traditional cache in a 5.56mm ammo can but had a question about an idea. Illinois is known for wild seasons so a cache container with one type of camo wouldn't be the greatest. As such I"m planning a spring/summer container that would be switched out with a fall container, and then followed by a winter season container. What I'm wondering is if this would be "ethical" in the world of geocaching. LCAS-271 Quote Link to comment
+KoosKoos
As long as it's staying at the same coordinates...and the size isn't changing (between a large, small, micro) and you didn't mention what the container was in your cache page (or you update it), I don't see any problem with it. I can't as I see a "need" for it really, but I don't see the harm. Quote Link to comment

Just make sure you update the cache listing or any hints that may reference the container size or type. Quote Link to comment
+KoosKoos
Dang I wish those Austin people would not post in the same reply! edit - that was directed at SQ's post right after mine, btw. Edited June 2, 2006 by KoosKoos Quote Link to comment
+Team Neos
Do you mean that you would change the camouflage to match the season? For example, it would be a white ammo can in the winter, a green one in Spring and Fall, and a fall leaf color scheme in the Fall? But every time it would be the same type of can...If so, that is a terrific idea! (but you might be surprised how well a leaf/wood pattern camo job works year round in a woodland setting) Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
I think that is a great idea. And, since people don't often revisit a cache they have found, someone who found it with green cammo isn't going to know about the white paint used in winter . . . Quote Link to comment
