New Version Of Palm-based Geocaching Software

I am pleased to announce the release of V1.40 of GeoNiche, the GPS system for off-road enthusiasts and geocachers.

 

This release has many improvements and bug fixes, including:

• Turn-by-Turn mode
  
• Memory of previous Bluetooth GPS Receiver selection
  
• Points of interest and driving directions importation from Google Maps
  
• Sending of targets/routes via Bluetooth
  
• Exportation of GPX files to memory card, internal memory, Bluetooth, and E-mail
  
• More information and CANCEL buttons on "Please Wait" messages
  
• Color presets
  
• Various enhancements for PalmOS v5.4
  
• Garmin iQue support

can't wait to get it. one of my favorite programs even before the upgrade. for anyone geocaching with a palm, i highly recommend it.

It's a great upgrade, all sorts of new features. I found a cache with it already today.

 

The one addition Geoniche needs is an easier way to get cache notes and/or found status back through the pipeline to gc.com - the export GPX works great but there's still a lot of macro writing and hand-editing to do to get my notes out of it and get them logged on the site. Thank heaven for GSAK's macro language.
