+Captain Max & the Kids
Garmin's GPS has a maximum of 1000 waypoints, causing problems for long roadtrips without a laptop to Xfer waypoints. I do have an Axim V51 where I can store countless GPX files, but havent figured out a cable and software interface to Xfer waypoints from GPX Sonar or similar software to the Garmin unit. If there were am interface cable and a way to send wayponts, that would be great. Anybody know a workaround to the memory issue? Why only 1000 waypoints anyway? There's tons of memory available on the SD card I have--but I can only seem to use it for Mapping--not waypoints. Quote Link to comment
+S&G.Davison
Consider storing them as Points of Interest using POI loader .. Quote Link to comment
+PDOP's
Have a look at G7ToCE. I'm a Palm owner so don't use it but have seen it recommended for this. FWIW I use GPilotS to do the same thing on my Palm PDA over a serial connection. I don't know if you're going to have issues with a USB interface and G7toCE (master slave USB problems) Quote Link to comment
