Team Fido Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Hi Countless people have not found Fido 002 and have asked for more clues... While I would love to give away a lot of clues, the group that found Fido 002 obviously would love it to remain a difficult cache... Which leaves me in a dilemna... a. We could leave it as is and wait for someone else to find it. or b. We could give away some *more* clues. What does the community think? My opinion is that perhaps we need to give away one more clue to make it easier, but not easy, to find. j. Quote
The Huskies Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 We spoke to Cindy - the one that originally spot this cache and she has said NO WAY Move the difficulty up and perhaps you could add the size of the original clue as you mentioned to us as the breakfast. It was fun running around with the other cachers like headless chickens!! Quote
bear&fox Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 ... or you can tell them in which direction to seek X... Quote
Larks Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 mmmm, Huskies must be grinning after reading my logs! Lucky bunch of cachers to have Cindy on the trip! Otherwise i reckon they wouldn't have found it either. (I could be wrong!) My problem is that i have no way of narrowing down my search. That entire area has been trampled by me during my three (yes, three) visits to the area. I just need to know round about where to start looking. Next to the Filter house? 100m from the filter house? Which direction? But i agree, don't give it away! By the way, all i see when i go up there are X's! Quote
The Huskies Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 We can always go and show you or ask Cindy to go with you. It is not close to the pump house. Read the Sheet carefully, it said +-18meters from the road. Quote
Larks Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I think i'll try once more, then i might hijack Cindy! I read the cache as 18m accuracy on the GPS, but i'll take that as a free clue! I should be able to walk there blindfolded by now! Quote
Team Fido Posted March 31, 2006 Author Posted March 31, 2006 OK, I think I'm going to think of some simple clues... maybe the best hint is that the X is about the size of a CD and is scratched in a tree... Now go do *that* blindfolded. j. Quote
Team Fido Posted April 3, 2006 Author Posted April 3, 2006 (edited) ok, I'm tired of being the bad guy in the CT caching community Fido 002 cache details have been updated with extra easy clues. Fido 003 is on its way. Go on Larks! j. Edited April 3, 2006 by Team Fido Quote
Larks Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 OK, I'll give it a go again! I just know that i'm going to kick myself when i find it!!!!! Cheers guys! Quote
Larks Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 I was looking in COMPLETELY the wrong place!!! Wow, you're right, not that tough after all. But very frustrating for me nonetheless! I'm just so glad to have finally found it! Thanks guys! Quote
