+FollowMeChaps Posted March 15, 2006 Share Posted March 15, 2006 Can anyone advise on which sftware you would recommend to download & upload wayponts, routes & tracks to/from a Garmin eTrex yellow? I particularly want to download tracks so that I can overlay them on Google Earth using the marvelous GPSVisualizer.com. I have tried GPSU Utility, Gsak and EasyGPS (are there others?) and am more than happy to pay for the right one for me but don't want to buy/use them all. As far as I can see neither Gsak and EasyGPS handle tracks. Gsak might but to me, as a non-tecky, I find it very confusing. I love GPSU Utility's ability to create maps but it seems to translate waypoints with inaccurate coordinates. Any advice for a simpleton like me would be much appreciated. Quote Link to comment

Having found the site to paste in the link above it seems that the latest version does exactly what I want and for free as well! Thank you Easy GPS. +Chuy! Posted March 15, 2006 Share Posted March 15, 2006 With the latest version of MapSource, you'll see an option in View to transfer all your waypoints into Google Earth. One annoying problem is your waypoints all get transferred into a single icon. The transfer is surprisingly quick and seamlessly. Quote Link to comment

You can edit your previous post (button below and to the right of your messages that says "Edit"). You could then delete your previous text and replace it with new text.
