+SweetSassyPants
Question: I have a friend who is part of 4chixcaching. Under the group name the girls hid a series of 5 caches with 4 caches being hidden seperately and the final being hidden together. Since then they also have hidden another series of 4 caches. Similar to the first series each cache was hidden seperately, but under the 4chix account. So, my friend and I were talking about it today and she thinks she can't log the other girls individual caches under her regular account because even though she had nothing to do with the hiding she is still "officially" a hider since it's listed under 4chix. I say she can. Who's right? As newbie I really appreciate the pointers and guidance I gleen from these forums and thank you in advance for the help. Sassy Quote Link to comment

+BlueDeuce
If she didn't get credit (an owner count) for hiding the caches and she doesn't know where the others are hidden, then I say log'em Quote Link to comment

That's what I thought, too! Thanks for the helpful reply! I agree, if she wasn't present at the hiding of the caches then she can find them. If she hid it she can't find it because she already knows where it is. Log it as a find, maybe put in a "I wasn't part of the hiding team." comment in her log. Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
My bad. I thought this was the friendly NW forum. Did I accidently post this in the main forum?? Don't get too thin skinned. I had a little trouble unraveling that myself. Your response is pretty 'main forum' (as you called it). If I understand it right, she's part of a team AND has an idividual account. If that's right, I think it's fair for her to hunt, find, and log the other team members caches under her individual account. Quote Link to comment

I have many hides hidden that even my wife doesnt know where they are, mainly due to the fact that she wasnt into caching when I hid them. I think that if she was not a part of the hiding process, than she should be able to hunt them and log them as a legitimate find IMHO. Quote Link to comment

I'm sorry if my question wasn't very clear, and maybe I should have typed s-l-o-w-e-r, but it wasn't a clearcut question and, I felt, to get an informed answer I'd have to pollute the post with some backstory. Thanks for your hep and suggestions - hawk, the jester, webscouter and bluedeuce. My question has been answered to my satisfaction and with that I'm going to take my sensy skin, and drop this thread and these forums like a bad habit. Thanks ya'll! Sassy Quote Link to comment
+SilentNW
Did anyone see that commercial where this guy takes his dog into the vet.... as the vet is finishing with the animal, the guy asks about the dogs frequent bladder troubles in his pants? The Vet looks puzzled and quotes "in his pants"..... I have a friend of a friend, who's friend's friend geocaches as her friend's friend and logs it as her own. Do I get credit? Quote Link to comment
