ttwo1969
I am trying to search the phrase "explorist 210" and it does not allow me to do so. It give this error: One or all of your search keywords were below 4 characters or you searched for words which are not allowed, such as 'html', 'img', etc, please go back and increase the length of these search keywords or choose different keywords. There is no way of lengthening '210' to narrow my search. If I am not allowed to search for any keywords under 4 characters I am going to have to sift through hundreds of topics to find the 'explorist 210' topics. Am I doing something wrong? thanks much Link to comment
+robert
try putting quotes around it, like: "explorist 210" Link to comment
+Lil Devil
You can also use the % wildcard. 210% would search for 210 followed by *any* other character. But in this particular case the quotes would probably work better. Link to comment
ttwo1969
"explorist 210" only came up with a handful of entries and explorist 210% still gave an error?! We are getting closer! I do appreciate any further suggestions! Link to comment
+Corp Of Discovery
Make sure to select the correct forum (or just select the 'All Forums' option). I got 8 pages of hits when I used this: "explorist 210" and selected 'All Forums'. Link to comment

+Lil Devil
explorist 210% still gave an error? I guess I should have tested it before I posted. This used to work in the older version of the forum software, but is apparently disabled in the current version. Bummer. Link to comment

Jeremy
210% They do * now instead of % So it should be 210* % was a database query feature. I think they removed it due to security concerns. Link to comment
Jeremy
Also, you should click on "Advanced Usage Help" on the search page for all the features. There are some cool ones I didn't know about. +apples -oranges And the * doesn't work like % did, as it turns out. It just works for individual words like work* will do worked and working.
