Mesa Mike
I would like to see what my friends and family are logging. Is there a way to "watch user" to get emailed whenever that user submits a logging? If not, I think it would be a cool feature to add. Even cooler if it included benchmark logs as well as cache logs. +StarBrand
No such existing feature but it has been discussed much recently. Usual response is some kind of privacy concerns. Many want it, Many want to opt out. I think something along those lines might be added someday. Quote Link to comment
+atascadero
I haven't heard of this option but I'm also new to geocaching but it sounds like a good idea as long as the "watched user" is given the option of being watched or not. I'd like to see this option. Quote Link to comment
+TotemLake
edited... Apples and oranges. Watching a general area with a camera is not the same as watching a player and their activity pattern. Some folks have already been harrassed without this feature being enabled. I can only imagine it will get worse if and when the feature is enabled and the opt out option is not provided. +The Leprechauns
The best place to ask about features or to suggest new ones is the Geocaching.com Forum. This is a frequent request. There won't likely ever be a "watchlist for people," but rather, the site developers are working on the concept of a "friends group." On an opt-in basis, people would be able to join a group and track each others' activity. For the most recent discussion of this from last week, see this thread. Quote Link to comment
+baloo&bd
I have often wondered why it was not implmented up front. Contrary to previous comments, there are no related privacy issues since the information gives nothing that is not already available just makes it somewhat easier to track friends, etc. I haven't seen any talk of adding a credit card attribute. From what I have read (see previous post for thread), it seems relatively close to being implemented. I'm looking forward to it. Quote Link to comment
+Prairie Dog
I suppose if there were a group of cachers who were all friends and wanted to see who could get the most finds in a day or a week. A feature like you're describing would be helpful. Quote Link to comment
+Cyclometh
Personally, I don't want people to be able to put my account on a watchlist. Maybe it's not information that wasn't already there, but there is a point where you're just making it too easy. Quote Link to comment
+Mastifflover
I like the idea of a friends list. There is a few of us that are constantly checking each others profiles for recent activity. Quote Link to comment

That pic was a joke, I post it whenever someone starts talking about being watched. I totally agree with you. I think it may be a cool feature, ONLY if the player allows themselves to be watched, and had full access to the list of people watching them. I might even suggest that a user be able to ban someone from watching them if it ever a feature. Quote Link to comment
