Andys101 & Redfrock
????? Please don't tell me we have a troublesome cacher locally! seems an odd thing to do (read Quiz Mark's log ....) Quote Link to comment
+The Golem
Do you know if there was any writing on it? Quote Link to comment
Andys101 & Redfrock
No idea. Seems unlikely given what Mark says! Strange! Quote Link to comment
+HazelS
but why would anyone go round checking on local caches that they've already done, or am I missing the point here??? Quote Link to comment
+Alice Band
What Hazel said! Why would someone come back just to check the contents? And it seems that the local fishermen know about it too reading other logs. Do you think someone is coming back and raiding the contents? Quote Link to comment
+Moote
but why would anyone go round checking on local caches that they've already done, or am I missing the point here??? I always check up on local caches, it just helps the owner Quote Link to comment
+Stuey
I've checked other peoples caches from time to time too. If I'm passing I'll have a quick check. I wouldn't describe it as "checking contents" and I wouldn't post another "found it" log either. Quote Link to comment
+woZere
but why would anyone go round checking on local caches that they've already done, or am I missing the point here??? Passing caches we have previously done we will check condition and contents and post a note of any action taken. If the swops are low or in poor condition we will add to them and on one occation we replaced the whole cache. On caches we have not done locally, we will go to the one`s that have not been found for some time and report etc; on the condition. Quote Link to comment
Andys101 & Redfrock
but why would anyone go round checking on local caches that they've already done, or am I missing the point here??? Hmmm - hadn't thought of that (it was late when I posted!!) He has done this to a few local caches, I can only think that it may be because we are somewhat lacking in caches locally ..... and may be he doesn't know about the post a note rather than double find etiquette - although i must admit it would seem to be common sense. However I didn't start this post to criticise Mark just to show what an odd thing has occurred. And I guess it may get to the point one day that I have to start re-visiting caches, we have that few locally!!! Edited January 22, 2006 by Andys101 & Redfrock Quote Link to comment
