+GOT GPS?
I just noticed the SporTraks and Meridians are no longer manufactured, so now it is only the Explorist units and the big screen Explorist XL. So they are concentrating on just the Explorists now. http://www.magellangps.com/en/support/lifecycle.asp - Geoff Edited January 13, 2006 by GOT GPS? Quote Link to comment

+perseid88
They still are a good unit. I took the opportunity to purchase a new Meridian Gold w/ cable, CD, book, etc for $154. Definately a step up from my Magellan 315 Quote Link to comment
+JDandDD
No real surprise there. These GPS's have been around for quite a while now and the technology has improved over time past what the Meridians have. Garmin is revamping its line too with the X versions. The difference with Magellan is that they kept the shape and name of the units but they are completely different inside. As long as it works and is improved, that's good IMHO. +Team Chevelle
I still love to note that I won a "closest to the tee" competition with my trusty Magellan MAP-330 at a MiGO event in 2003. Everyone there with their $500+ Garmins and such were not thrilled. - John... Quote Link to comment
