firstrock Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Hello. I am trying to create an auto route in mapsource v6.9.1 between two waypoints. I have set the preferences / Route Style to "Use Auto-Routing" but my newly created route still shows up as a direct (as the crow flies) route. How can I acheive this? Thanks Quote
+Pasha Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Which map set do you have installed in Mapsource? Some map products don't support automatic routing. Quote
+Alan2 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) Pasha' right. Mapsourse is the name of the operating system and represents a family of map sets (ie. Mapsourse Topo, Mapsourse Metroguide, etc.) If you're using Mapsourse Topo, you can only get a straight lines betwen waypoints. On the other hand, if you're using Mapsourse Metroguide, the route will follow the streets. Edited January 2, 2006 by Alan2 Quote
+GOT GPS? Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) If you have City Select, or City Navigator, you can go to the EDIT menu of Mapsource, then Click on Preferences at the bottom of the EDIT Menu, then select the Routing Tab. Now select either Use Auto-Routing or Use Direct Routes, to switch back and forth. Geoff Edited January 2, 2006 by GOT GPS? Quote
+Alan2 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Using US Topo. Straight lines only. Sorry. Quote
