stude
How can i fix this? Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
My 60CS has a slot for laynard attachment built into the side of the unit. I've never seen a GPS60 but I assume it would also have one. EDIT: Your photo appears to be of a Map60CS, not a GPS 60, so unless Garmin has drastically changed the unit since I purchased mine, there is a slot on the side for your laynard. stude
I see no slot on the side .Mine was hooked in the hole but got easly pulled out..Maybe a plastic tie will work. I just thought since it happened so easly someone had a better solution. Quote Link to comment
+AuntieNae
I had a similiar unit .. really that was not a place for attaching a lanyard. I purchased a lanyard system made for a Rino .. essentially both units have the same type of clip attachment to the back. I have friends that made their own braided long cord and they clip their unit to that. Quote Link to comment
+AuntieNae
If you go to Amazon.com and search for the "Garmin Bash Guard for Rino 110 / 120 / 130 GPS devices" you will see an accessory kit designed for Rhinos .. with 2 bash guards BUT it also includes the neat lanyard that will clip to the back of your unit. Hope this helps AuntieNae Quote Link to comment
+bear&fox
Look at your unit from the back, then on the (left) side between the plug-in points for the USB and external antenna cable you will see a small attachment point. This is for the lanyard. I'd ignore the broken rubber section, as it provides no structural value whatsoever anyway, and will serve as a healthy reminder to READ THE MANUAL next time! As far as I know it's glued to the top of your receiver, so the service folks may be able to replace it. Quote Link to comment

stude
I see it now. Now you know why I always get lost. Thanks. I wonder what the hole was for? Think I'll do some reading. Quote Link to comment
