Town Clocks (old & New)

Recommended Posts

This category would list mainly "OLD TOWN CLOCKS" in churches, town or City Halls.

They can be found all over city squares in England, on Cathedrals, Office Towers and some are re-set from other structures that were torn down.

....There are ---Musical,:D mechanical :D or new electronic clocks.:D

sounds nice. would they have to be on a tower like your examples? We have an old clock downtown that is not so "towering"... it is just a nice round clock on a pole maybe 8-10 feet tall on one corner of the main intersection of downtown.

Also, would it have to be functional?

I think there needs to be a standard definition of "old".

I would like this if it were not restricted to "town" clocks, but were just general enough to be something like "elevated outdoor clocks" - even though you could still call it town clocks, just relax the logging requirement a bit. Out here in California you will find the occasional clock on some tower or wall, but they're not strictly a town center clock, if you see what I mean.
