Covert_Muggle
Alright, I've stumbled on this hobby recently and my friend doesnt have a GPS unit. We are looking for one that serves its purpose but doesnt have to come with all the bells and whistles. We are lookin for some VERY low priced GPS's so if you know where to find one or if you yourself have one please let us know...this is honestly more for the spirit of geocaching. My friends and I have very little money and I was fortunate to get mine. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks! Quote Link to comment

Might want to email him to see if he still has it. http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=111975 I have a feeling it is something like the GPS 310. Not the greatest GPS but it sorta works once you get used to it (have one on loan from a coworker). Quote Link to comment
+Team Chevelle
The one in that thread is a Pioneer. You can pick one of them up on Ebay for that price on a fairly regular basis actually. If it was a 315, I'd be worth more. - John... Edited October 27, 2005 by Team Chevelle Quote Link to comment

+Team Chevelle
It really isn't "boasting" because, as I said, you can get Pioneers on EBay for under $30 fairly regularly actually. - John... Quote Link to comment

+HaLiJuSaPa
If you want a brand new GPS with a full (I believe 1 year) warranty, maybe try the Lowrance iFinder Go. TigerGPS.com is selling it for about $70+shipping (and tax where applicable) and there are some "eBay stores" selling new units as "Buy it Now" (i.e. no bidding) for $69 including shipping with the warranty (just search "Lowrance iFinder Go" on eBay). It supposedly has great satellite reception and a decent base map. The reason it's so cheap is that you can't connect it to a computer, but if you only go caching occasionally, it is not too much of a bugbear to manually enter coordinates (though you need to do it carefully since a typo may send you off course).
