+HolyCowboys
Ok We have a few cashes in our area that state they contain TB's inside. But they don't. You can check the digital log and see that "user x" (The names in this note are not ment to be real) states that they picked up a TB from the cash but they don't actually check the TB out. Would it be wrong to prod them with a note asking them to complete the TB checkout? Or is this something the cash owner should do? Any suggestions? Thanks HolyCowboys Quote Link to comment
+ibycus
A friendly little note wouldn''t hurt, just as long as you're sure the travel bugs match up. Explain to them in detail how to log a travel bug out of a cache (starting from Groundspeak.com/track) and then go from there. Also you can contact the cache owner, and ask that they mark the bug as missing from their cache (cache owners have the option of 'removing' bugs from their cache that aren't there). Just make sure that the bug *isn't* there first with a search of the cache in question with that in mind. Otherwise I'd just post a note to the page, and the bug owner and let them know what you can deduce (i.e. didn't see the bug, but it looks like this user might have it, you might want to drop them a line) Quote Link to comment
+Eartha
It's ok to send a friendly reminder, perhaps send them this link: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=94185 That's the link to the How to log a Travel Bug thread. A simple note should do it. Just once. Perhaps tell them which bug it is they stated they took as a reminder. Quote Link to comment
