Weirdest Tb Drop I've Ever Seen

http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...32-02a1e1b4356d is the NOT FOUND log entry. Though the cache wasn't found, a TB was dropped off and left at what the hider feels is the location the cache would have been at.

 

Ever heard of such a thing?

This is about the seconds time in the last few weeks where someone has not been able to find the cache and left a travel bug.

I've heard of it. A dumb idea, but its been done before - a lot more than you would think.

This TB was last seen (or logged)in Texas. Somehow the card (which explains its goals) ends up in Utah. Then, a cacher finds the card and moves it to Delaware and logs it.

I visited the cache in Delaware and saw the card. I was looking for a white Jeep which was supposedly left in the cache and is MIA.

How about 7 TBs, placed about 50 feet away from a film cannister micro in a decently maintained rest area? June 27 through July 13 on this cache. GtG volunteered to chase this down after someone in the local group noticed it. I was surprised maintenance missed this for two weeks.

Normally I would say there is something wrong with that. But in this case, I know the cacher and I would say the drop was unusual, but adequate. Does the end justify the means? Who knows?
