+Geoassassins
I while ago I lost my notebook while geocaching. It is a spiral bound, 4x6" type of thing that I kept track of caches I wanted to go and places I had found. That type of thing. I would carry it in my back pocket and refer to the clues if needed and information about the cache we were hunting. I think the only place it could be is along a trail to a cache, not necessarily the right trail. Sometimes we don't get it right. It would be in the Finger Lakes region of NYS. I know this is a long shot, and there was nothing irreplacable in it, but it would be neat to have it back if found. I know it is dumb to be emotionally attached to a notebook, but I really miss it. Thanks. Quote Link to comment

+Team Tired Boy
I don't think it's silly. I lost my notebook a while back too, and I was pretty bummed. Quote Link to comment
dboggny
In June of 2001, i lost a compas at Doodletown Cache, in Harriman State Park. I posted that i lost it on my log and a few weeks later, another geocacher found it. If you think you lost it looking for a cache, post it in a note or log and someone coming along behind you might find it. db Quote Link to comment
+Frodo_Underhill
Try retracing your steps. I found a compass that I had forever that had dropped out of my pocket by retracing the day of caching I lost it on. Check out log and photo I have also found a Palm pilot I dropped in the woods using the same technique. Call it dumb luck! But you never know until you try. Also other cachers will look around if you ask them. Quote Link to comment
+rjw661
I lost my notebook at "Soldiers of 1812" in Syracuse and made sure to note it in my log. It turns out another cacher had found it and I managed to get it back. Of course he left it in another cache for me to find. Quote Link to comment

+Planet
Does your GPS have a track back feature? Try that. Or did anyone go caching with you that does have that feature? Edited July 29, 2005 by Planet Quote Link to comment
