+2202
Just to say that I tried out for the first time a handle bar mount for my Garmin on Monday and it worked a treat. The extra speed generated from being on a bike appeared to knock out any tree cover problem usually experienced when walking. A good investment. Link to comment
+*bingoboy*
i just got them too and am about to leave the house to use it in anger for the first time I rode to the pub last night and had the p*ss taken out of me for having a bike with sat nav (I decided to not mention hidden tupperware boxes etc) Link to comment
+Alibags
I have acquired only the replacement battery cover part of a garmin etrex handlebar mount, but not the bit that goes on the bike. If anybody has had an "ooh nasty!" moment with their etrex and has a spare mount, I would be interested in purchasing said item! Link to comment
+Team S-J
I've been using one on my motorbike for a couple of years. The only problem I have is that due to windchill the batteries fade out. I've recently invested in a neoprene case, and some lithium batteries which I hope will cure the low battery problem. I can't see that these would really be an issue on a push bike though. +Sue and Bernie
I have 2 redundant bike mount back plates for the old eTrex family going spare if anyone needs one. They are left over because I now hav a Vista C which still clips onto the original handlebar parts that are still in use on my cycles (one mountain bike for work and local stuff, a hybrid for longer trips). Anyone need one of them? Link to comment
