+DcCow
Hi everyone, I am looking for a PC Map program to use in Europe (specifically Germany and the UK), that I can take waypoints from GSAK and load against it to see where caches are along a route of travel. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks, Dwayne Link to comment
+Greymane
Memory-Map Navigator has an OS version that uses Ordnance Survey maps (MUCH better than the USGS maps we have in the States). They may have maps of Germany, as well, but I am not sure. I have seen the OS maps. They rock! And, yes, you can load GPX files right into the program. I load my pocket queries without problem. +sc99cs
You can also try Fugawi mapping software. It is a lot cheaper than Memory-Map but has the same maps, supports Palm organisers which Memory Map doesn't and covers the whole UK in four CDs (Memory Map requires 12 separate CDs). The user interface isn't quite so straight forward but once you get use to it it isn't so bad. I can't recommend any German maps but maybe posting a question in the German forum may help? +Cornix
Give Microsoft AutoRoute Europe a try. You can export your waypoints with GSAK/GPSBabel in csv format (comma separated values) and import them into AutoRoute. It's also possuible to filter caches along a route. See Markwell's FAQ (the MS Streets and Trips solution). Cornix Link to comment
+DcCow
Thanks for the inputs. I really liked the Memory Maps, but not the price. Going with AutoRoute for now. Thanks again. Link to comment
